Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease three 8-inch cake pans and line with parchment.
Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl; set aside.
Cream together butter, coconut oil, and sugar until pale and fluffy, about 5 minutes. Add egg whites and whip 1-2 minutes. Mix in vanilla extracts.
Gradually add dry ingredients and buttermilk, alternating, starting and ending with dry ingredients. Divide batter into pans.
Bake for 35-40 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool before frosting.
