Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 cup Chicken or turkey broth (Keeps filling moist.)
  • 1/3 cup flour (As a thickening agent.)

Crust

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour (The backbone of crust.)
  • 1 cup Cold unsalted butter (Cut into flour.)

Instructions 

  • Sauté onion and garlic until soft, then add carrots, celery, peas, thyme, and sage. Stir in broth and flour, cook until thickened. Mix with turkey, season with salt and pepper, and transfer to crust-lined pie dish.
  • Prepare the crust by combining flour, butter, salt, and ice water until dough forms. Roll out and cover the filling, then brush with egg wash.
  • Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 40 minutes until golden brown.
