Frosting ingredients

unsalted butter, at room temperature (for frosting)

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a 13x9 inch pan with nonstick spray and parchment paper.
Mix dry ingredients. Beat butter and sugar until fluffy, add vanilla and eggs. Alternate adding dry ingredients and buttermilk mixture to batter.
Pour batter into pan, smooth, top with sliced strawberries, and bake for 25-28 minutes. Cool completely.
Make frosting by beating butter, cream cheese, salt, vanilla, and powdered sugar until smooth and fluffy.
Spread frosting over cooled cake, chill for 20 minutes, then top with fresh strawberries before serving.
Notes
For best results, use fresh strawberries and ensure all ingredients are at room temperature.
