A flavorful and easy-to-make dish featuring tender flank steak glazed with a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce, perfect served over rice.

Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 lb flank steak
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 0.25 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
  • 1 teaspoon hot Chinese mustard
  • 0.25 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 0.25 cup honey (or maple syrup)
  • Green onions sliced Green onions (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions 

  • Slice the flank steak into 2-inch chunks or strips across the grain.
  • Whisk soy sauce, Worcestershire, ginger, mustard, red pepper flakes, garlic, and honey; set aside.
  • Heat sesame oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add steak and brown for 1-2 minutes per side.
  • Add sauce to pan, simmer for 5 minutes until sticky and glazed.
  • Serve over rice, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Use thinly sliced beef for quicker cooking and better glaze absorption.
