A quick and flavorful stir-fry combining tender steak, rice, and vegetables for a satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Meat

  • 0.5 lbs sirloin steak

Sauces and oils

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster (flavored) sauce
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • vegetable oil vegetable oil

Aromatics and vegetables

  • 1 tbsp garlic (minced)
  • 3 tbsp onions (diced)
  • 1 cup cooked jasmine rice
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (peas, corn, carrots)
  • 1 egg egg

Garnish

  • scallions (sliced) scallions (sliced)

Instructions 

  • Mix oyster sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, and pepper to make the sauce.
  • Cube steak, marinate with half the sauce for 30 minutes.
  • Prepare garlic, onion, rice, and vegetables. Heat oil, cook steak, then set aside.
  • Stir-fry garlic and onion, add rice, vegetables, and sauce. Push to side, cook egg, then combine.
  • Mix in cooked steak, garnish with scallions, and serve.

Notes

Use high heat for stir-frying to prevent sticking and ensure quick cooking.
