A flavorful and easy-to-make salmon dish with a spicy honey garlic glaze, perfect for a quick dinner.

Ingredients

Salmon

  • 4 oz salmon fillets (center cuts)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (light tasting)
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika (or normal paprika)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.75 tsp fresh ground black pepper (more or less to taste)
  • 0.5 tsp cayenne pepper (more or less to taste)
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced or chopped)
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 0.33 cup water or broth
  • 0.33 cup soy sauce (Low-sodium)
  • 0.5 tsp chili flakes (more or less to taste)
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tsp corn starch
  • 1 tsp ginger powder

Green Onion (optional)

Toasted Sesame Seeds (optional)

Lemon wedges (optional)

Instructions 

  • Remove skin from salmon, slice into 8 oz. pieces, and pat dry.
  • Mix paprika, garlic powder, pepper, and cayenne; season both sides of salmon.
  • Whisk all sauce ingredients in a bowl and set aside.
  • Heat oil in skillet, sear salmon 4 minutes per side.
  • Pour sauce over salmon, simmer 2-3 minutes, basting until thickened.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds, green onion, and lemon wedges before serving.

Notes

Adjust spice levels to taste and serve with rice or vegetables for a complete meal.
