A rich and fudgy skillet brownie topped with a smooth chocolate ganache, perfect for a decadent treat.

Ingredients

Batter

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Dry ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Optional add-ins

  • 1 cup chocolate chips ((optional))

Ganache

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Melt butter in skillet, then stir in sugar and eggs. Mix in vanilla.
  • Combine dry ingredients and fold into wet mixture. Add chocolate chips if desired. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
  • Heat heavy cream until simmering. Remove from heat, add chopped chocolate, then stir in butter and vanilla to make ganache.
  • Cool ganache slightly. Once brownies are baked and cooled for 10-15 minutes, pour ganache over and spread evenly.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use high-quality chocolate for the ganache.
