Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C) and line cupcake pans with liners.
Whisk dry ingredients (flour, baking soda, cocoa, salt) and set aside.
Cream butter and sugar until light, then add eggs, vanilla, oil, and food coloring.
Alternate adding flour and buttermilk (with vinegar), starting and ending with flour. Mix just until combined.
Divide batter into liners, bake for 18 minutes, cool, then frost.
