This moist and flavorful pumpkin bread is perfect for fall, combining warm spices and the richness of pumpkin puree.

Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 1.75 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1.5 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground ginger

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup canned pumpkin puree ((not pumpkin pie filling))
  • 2 large eggs
  • 0.5 cup vegetable oil ((or melted butter))
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 0.25 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a loaf pan.
  • Whisk together dry ingredients in a medium bowl.
  • In a large bowl, mix wet ingredients until smooth.
  • Combine dry and wet ingredients, stir gently, and fold in nuts or chocolate chips.
  • Pour batter into the pan and bake for 55–65 minutes.
  • Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding chocolate chips or nuts.
