A delicious and quick potato sandwich made with spiced mashed potatoes layered between bread slices, perfect for a snack or breakfast.

Ingredients

Bread

  • 6 slices bread slices
  • 2 teaspoons oil (or butter)
  • 400 grams potatoes (boiled, peeled and mashed)
  • 0.5 cup green peas
  • 0.5 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon pepper powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon chaat masala powder
  • to taste Salt Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 2 teaspoons oil

Instructions 

  • Heat 1 teaspoon oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, and sauté until fragrant.
  • Add green peas, turmeric, cumin powder, pepper, chaat masala, and salt; cook for 5 minutes.
  • Mix in the mashed potatoes and cook for another 2 minutes, then set aside.
  • Spread the potato mixture on a bread slice, cover with another slice, and toast until golden.
  • Repeat for remaining slices and serve hot.

Notes

You can add green chutney or ketchup for extra flavor.
