Instructions
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground meat and cook until browned.
Add diced onions, garlic, and diced peppers; cook until vegetables are tender.
Stir in rice, crushed tomatoes, water or broth, and seasonings; bring to a boil.
Reduce heat, cover, and simmer until rice is cooked and liquid is absorbed, about 15 minutes.
Optional: Sprinkle shredded cheese on top, garnish with parsley or chili flakes before serving.
Notes
For a vegetarian version, substitute the meat with beans or lentils.
