A hearty and easy one-pot meal combining savory ground beef with tender potatoes, perfect for a quick dinner.

Ingredients

Meat and Potatoes

  • 1.5 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb potatoes (diced)
  • 1 medium onion (diced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • ¼ tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • to taste Salt & black pepper Salt & black pepper
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup water or beef broth
  • for garnish Fresh parsley or green onions

Instructions 

  • Brown the ground beef in a skillet with half the butter for 8-10 minutes, then set aside.
  • Sauté diced onion in the same skillet for 5 minutes, add garlic for 1 minute, then add potatoes and cook until golden.
  • Pour in water or broth, scrape flavorful bits, and simmer for 10-12 minutes until potatoes are tender.
  • Return beef to skillet, stir, and cook for 4 more minutes. Garnish before serving.

Notes

Adjust seasoning to taste and serve hot.
