A quick and flavorful one-pan dish featuring tender beef in a savory sauce, perfect for a weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 lb Beef (Flank or Top Sirloin)
  • 2 tbsp oil (avocado or olive)
  • 1/4 cup corn starch
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce (low sodium)
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger (minced)
  • 1/4 cup green onions (sliced)

Instructions 

  • Slice beef into 1/8 inch thick slices against the grain.
  • Mix soy sauce, water, and brown sugar in a bowl.
  • Coat beef with corn starch, then cook in hot oil in batches. Remove and set aside.
  • Sauté garlic and ginger in the same pan for about a minute.
  • Add sauce to the pan, simmer briefly, then return beef to coat and cook a few more minutes. Garnish with green onions.

Notes

Serve over rice or noodles for a complete meal.
