low fat buttermilk
Instructions
Peel, core, and chop apples. Mix with cinnamon, cloves, brown sugar, maple syrup, and pecans.
Combine flour, sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, and baking soda. Cut in butter until coarse crumbs.
Stir in buttermilk just until combined. Spread apple mixture in a greased skillet.
Spoon dough over apples evenly. Bake at 425°F for 10 minutes, then at 350°F for 23-26 minutes.
Serve warm with ice cream. Enjoy!
Notes
For a crunchier topping, sprinkle some extra pecans on top before baking.
