A refreshing and creamy mango lassi made with kefir, perfect for a quick, nutritious treat or breakfast.

Ingredients

Fruits and liquids

  • 1 large Ripe mango (fresh or frozen; cut, dice, or flash-freeze for extra chill)
  • 1.5 cups Plain milk kefir (unflavored; swap with coconut milk kefir for vegan)
  • 1 tablespoon Honey (optional; swap with agave syrup for vegan)
  • Pinch Ground cayenne powder (optional; adds a spicy kick)
  • Pinch Cardamom powder (optional; warming spice)
  • 4 ice cubes Ice cubes (optional; for a colder, creamier smoothie)
  • 2 tablespoons Greek yogurt (optional; makes it thicker)
  • Splash Milk (optional; adjust thickness to taste)

Instructions 

  • Cut or use frozen mango cubes.
  • Add mango, kefir, honey, cayenne, cardamom, and ice to the blender.
  • Blend on high until smooth and creamy.
  • Taste and adjust with more kefir, milk, or sweetener as desired.
  • Pour into glasses and garnish with a pinch of cardamom or mint leaves. Serve immediately.

Notes

For a vegan version, swap kefir with coconut milk kefir and honey with agave syrup.
