A fresh and flavorful hummus made with basil and lemon, perfect for snacking or as a spread.
Ingredients

chickpeas, rinsed (save the liquid)

fresh basil leaves

cup
tahini
0.25
cup
lemon juice

extra virgin olive oil

Instructions
Combine chickpeas, basil, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, and salt in a food processor. Don't add olive oil or chickpea water yet.
Pulse a few times, then turn on low and slowly pour in olive oil while blending. Add chickpea water gradually until smooth.
Taste and adjust salt or lemon if needed.
Scoop into a bowl, create a swirl, and drizzle with extra olive oil to serve.
Notes
For a creamier texture, peel the chickpeas before blending.
