Ingredients

Dough

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup greek yogurt cream cheese, softened
  • 1 egg egg
  • 1 1/2 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

Filling

  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg egg
  • 1/2 cup greek yogurt
  • Zest from 1 lemon lemon zest
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (use extra for more lemon flavor)

Topping

  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, cold and cubed

Dusting

  • to taste powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix dry ingredients and wet ingredients separately, then combine to form the batter.
  • Pour batter into a greased baking pan and prepare the topping by mixing flour, sugar, and cold butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over the batter.
  • Bake for 35 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar.

Notes

Use fresh lemon for the best flavor and ensure ingredients are at room temperature for easier mixing.
