A flavorful and crispy beef stir-fry served with noodles, coated in a sweet and savory honey soy sauce.

Ingredients

Meat

  • 500 g steak (thinly sliced)
  • 1 egg egg
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 cups flour (seasoned with salt)

  • 1 onion onion (finely chopped)
  • 3 cloves garlic cloves (crushed)
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 3-4 tbsp honey (to taste)
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Hoisin sauce / Oyster sauce
  • ½ cup water
  • 500 g noodles (to serve)

Instructions 

  • Marinate the steak with soy sauce and egg, then set aside.
  • Fry onion and garlic until fragrant, add soy sauce, honey, hoisin/oyster sauce, vinegar, and water; simmer until reduced by half.
  • Deep fry coated beef in hot oil until golden and crispy, then drain on paper towels.
  • Combine sauce with beef, toss to coat, then add cooked noodles. Season as needed.
  • Serve topped with sliced spring onions.

Notes

Ensure the oil is hot enough for frying to achieve crispy beef.
