Soft, fluffy homemade dinner rolls perfect for any meal. Easy to make with simple ingredients and a quick rise.

Ingredients

Dough

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2.25 teaspoons active dry yeast ((1 packet))
  • 1 cup warm water (110°F)
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)

Instructions 

  • Activate yeast by mixing warm water and sugar, then let sit until frothy.
  • Mix flour and salt in a large bowl. Combine melted butter with yeast mixture.
  • Gradually add wet ingredients to dry, knead until smooth, then let rise for 1 hour.
  • Punch down dough, shape into balls, place on a greased sheet, and let rise for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake rolls for 20 minutes until golden.

Notes

For softer rolls, brush with melted butter after baking.
