A quick and flavorful gluten-free, dairy-free beef and broccoli stir-fry perfect for a healthy weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Meat

  • 1.5 pounds beef, thinly sliced (flank steak)
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 tablespoon white sesame seeds for serving
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons gluten-free tamari sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, grated
  • 1/3 cup beef broth
  • 6 tablespoons gluten-free tamari sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/5 teaspoon salt
  • 1/5 teaspoon pepper

Instructions 

  • Mix brown sugar, tamari, cornstarch, and lemon juice; marinate beef for 15 minutes.
  • Sauté broccoli in oil until tender, then set aside.
  • Whisk together ginger, garlic, broth, sugar, tamari, cornstarch, sesame oil, salt, and pepper.
  • Cook beef in hot oil for 5-6 minutes, then set aside.
  • Add sauce to pan, cook until thickened, then combine with beef and broccoli. Serve hot, sprinkled with sesame seeds.

Notes

Use thinly sliced beef for quick cooking and marinate to enhance flavor.
