A quick and flavorful pasta dish featuring garlic, butter, and Parmesan cheese, perfect for a comforting meal.

Ingredients

Dried pasta noodles

  • 8 ounces dried pasta noodles (long or short pasta)

Butter

  • 4 tablespoons butter (divided)

Garlic cloves

  • 2 cloves garlic cloves (minced)

Parmesan cheese

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (plus more for serving)

Salt and ground black pepper

Chopped parsley

Instructions 

  • Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, then drain, reserving 3/4 cup of water.
  • Melt 3 tablespoons of butter in a skillet over low heat, add garlic, and sauté lightly.
  • Add cooked pasta, Parmesan, remaining butter, and some reserved water; toss until glossy and coated.
  • Season with salt and pepper, toss briefly, and serve topped with Parmesan and parsley.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a squeeze of lemon or a pinch of red pepper flakes.
