Instructions
In a large pot, melt butter and sauté onion and leek until soft.
Add broth, potatoes, carrots, bay leaf, salt, pepper, and allspice; simmer until vegetables are tender (~15 mins).
Gently add salmon chunks; cook until opaque (~5 mins).
Lower heat, stir in heavy cream, and heat through without boiling (~2-3 mins).
Remove bay leaf, stir in dill and lemon juice, then serve warm.
Notes
For best flavor, use fresh dill and high-quality salmon.
