Soft, fluffy dinner rolls perfect for any meal, made with simple ingredients and easy steps.
Ingredients
Dough

whole milk
(warm, about 110°F)
2 1/4
teaspoons
active dry yeast
(or 1 packet)

granulated sugar

tablespoons
unsalted butter
(melted)

large egg
egg
(room temperature)

teaspoons
salt

all-purpose flour

unsalted butter
(to brush)
Instructions
Mix warm milk, yeast, and sugar; let sit 3-5 mins until bubbly.
Add melted butter, egg, salt, and half of the flour; mix well.
Gradually add remaining flour; knead for 3-5 mins until smooth.
Let dough rise covered for 2 hours or until doubled in size.
Punch down dough, shape into 12 balls, place in greased pan, and let rise 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 350°F, bake rolls 20-25 mins, then brush with melted butter.
Notes
For softer rolls, brush with butter immediately after baking.
