Ingredients

Potatoes

  • 24 oz potatoes (peeled and cut into 1/2-inch cubes)

Egg

  • 1 piece hard-boiled egg (diced into 1/4-inch pieces)

Celery

  • 2 tbsp celery

Red Onions

  • 2 tbsp red onions

Sweet Pickle Relish

  • 1 tbsp sweet pickle relish (Mt. Olive preferred)

Mayonnaise

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise (Hellmann's preferred)

Mustard

  • 1 tsp mustard

Sugar

  • 1.5 tbsp sugar

Apple Cider Vinegar

  • 1.5 tsp apple cider vinegar

Salt

  • 1/2 tsp salt

Black Pepper

  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Celery Seeds

  • 1 tsp celery seeds (Essential for authentic Amish taste)

Paprika

  • 1/4 tsp paprika

Instructions 

  • Boil potatoes until tender, then drain and cool.
  • Mix mayonnaise, mustard, sugar, vinegar, salt, pepper, celery seeds, and paprika to make the dressing.
