Ingredients

Fruits

  • 3 pcs ripe bananas, mashed

Dry Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.25 cup packed brown sugar

Wet Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs
  • 0.25 cup sour cream
  • 0.33 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Chocolate Chips

  • 0.75 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  • Mash bananas, then mix in eggs, oil, sour cream, vanilla, sugars, and whisk until combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Fold dry ingredients into wet mixture, then gently stir in chocolate chips, reserving some for topping.
  • Divide batter into muffin cups, top with remaining chocolate chips, and bake for 18-20 minutes. Cool before serving.

Notes

For extra moist muffins, do not overmix the batter.
