This quick and flavorful chicken dish features crispy bites coated in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce, perfect for a satisfying weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Protein

  • 1.5 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt, to taste Salt (for seasoning)
  • Black pepper, to taste Black pepper (for seasoning)
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • cup honey
  • ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Garnish

  • Green onions, sliced Green onions (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions 

  • Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces, season with salt and pepper, and toss with cornstarch.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet and cook chicken until golden and crispy. Remove and set aside.
  • Sauté garlic in the same skillet until fragrant. Mix honey, soy sauce, vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes.
  • Pour sauce into skillet, simmer until slightly thickened, then return chicken and toss to coat.
  • Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds, then serve immediately.

Notes

For extra crispiness, double coat the chicken with cornstarch.
