A fun and spooky treat perfect for Halloween, these mummy hot dogs are wrapped in crescent roll bandages with cheese and olive eyeballs.

Ingredients

Dough

  • 1 tube 8-ounce tube crescent rolls

Hot Dogs

  • 8 pieces Hot Dogs

Condiments

  • to taste mustard (mayo or ketchup for the eyes)

Cheese

  • 1 piece Mozzarella cheese

Olives

  • Black olives Black olives (sliced for eyes)

Tools

  • 1 large straw large straw (for cutting cheese)
  • 1 regular straw regular straw (for cutting olives)

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Unroll crescent dough, press perforations to seal, and cut into strips 1/2 inch wide.
  • Wrap each hot dog with dough strips, leaving space for the face, and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Bake for about 15 minutes until golden brown. Meanwhile, cut cheese into circles and olives into small pieces for eyes.
  • Use large straw to cut cheese circles and small straw to cut olive pieces; place olives on cheese for eyeballs.
  • Remove from oven, brush faces with mustard or ketchup, and add cheese eyeballs with olives for eyes.

Notes

For best results, keep cheese and olives chilled before assembling.
