Instructions
Melt butter in a large pot and cook garlic and onion until translucent.
Add carrots and cook for 5 minutes, then add potatoes and broth. Boil until tender.
Mix milk and flour, then stir into the soup. Add broccoli and simmer for 10-15 minutes.
Add cheese and stir until melted. Season with salt before serving.
Notes
For a creamier texture, blend part of the soup before adding cheese.
