Ingredients

Protein

  • 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper to taste Salt and pepper
  • 3 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 tablespoons Parmesan cheese, shredded
  • 3-4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 10 whole garlic cloves, peeled
  • 2 ½ cups chicken broth
  • 1 beef bouillon cube or 1 teaspoon beef bouillon cube or Better Than Bouillon
  • 1 teaspoon low-sodium soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon mustard powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions 

  • Slice chicken breasts, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, then dredge in flour and Parmesan.
  • Heat oil in a skillet, sear chicken until golden and cooked through, then set aside.
  • Melt butter, cook garlic until golden, then stir in flour and gradually add chicken broth and seasonings to build the sauce.
  • Reduce heat, stir in heavy cream and Parmesan, then return chicken to the skillet, spoon sauce over, cover, and simmer for 5 minutes.

Notes

Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or vegetables for a complete meal.
