A comforting and creamy pasta dish featuring seasoned ground beef, tender shells, and rich cheese sauce, perfect for a satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Pasta

  • 8 ounces medium pasta shells

Oil

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Meat

  • 1 pound ground beef

Vegetables

  • 1 small sweet onion (diced)
  • 5 cloves garlic (minced)

Spices & Herbs

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 0.5 teaspoon smoked paprika

Thickening & Liquids

  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup beef stock
  • 15 oz marinara sauce
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup sour cream

Cheese

  • 1.5 cups cheddar cheese (freshly grated)

Instructions 

  • Cook pasta in boiling salted water until al dente, then drain.
  • Cook ground beef in oil until browned, drain excess fat, then set aside.
  • Sauté onion and garlic in the same skillet until fragrant, then stir in flour and cook briefly.
  • Gradually add beef stock and marinara, season, simmer until thickened, then combine with pasta and beef.
  • Stir in heavy cream, sour cream, and cheese until melted. Serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, garnish with fresh parsley or basil before serving.
