A delicious homemade sourdough bread with a crispy crust and tangy flavor, perfect for any meal or snack.
Ingredients
Dough

bread flour
(preferably bread flour for better gluten development)

water
(lukewarm)

active sourdough starter
(fed and bubbly)

Instructions
Mix flour, water, sourdough starter, and salt until a shaggy dough forms.
Let the dough rest covered for 4 hours, performing a stretch and fold every 30 minutes.
Shape the dough into a round loaf and let it proof for 2 hours.
Preheat oven to 230°C (450°F) with a Dutch oven inside.
Score the loaf, place it in the Dutch oven, and bake covered for 30 minutes, then uncovered for 15 minutes.
Cool on a wire rack before slicing.
Notes
Use a mature sourdough starter for best flavor and rise.
