Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Prepare muffin pan with liners or grease.
Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
In a small bowl, beat egg, milk, and oil; combine with dry ingredients until just moistened.
Fold in chocolate chips; divide batter into 12 muffin cups, filling 3/4 full.
Bake for 18-20 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Use a spatula to fold in chocolate chips to avoid overmixing.
