Ingredients

Protein

  • 2 pieces chicken breasts
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • flour flour for dredging
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil divided
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 8 ounces mushrooms sliced
  • 0.5 medium onion chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard or more
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce or more
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 0.5 cup chicken broth
  • 0.5 cup full fat sour cream

Seasoning

  • to taste Salt and pepper

Instructions 

  • Cube chicken breasts, season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper, then dredge in flour.
  • Heat 1.5 tbsp olive oil and butter in a skillet, cook chicken until golden, then remove and set aside.
  • Sauté onions and mushrooms in the same skillet until soft, about 5 minutes.
  • Add minced garlic and Dijon mustard, cook for 1 minute, then pour in chicken broth, scraping browned bits.
  • Return chicken to skillet, simmer until cooked through, then stir in sour cream and heat for 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.

Notes

Serve over rice, noodles, or mashed potatoes for a complete meal.
