Ingredients

Meat and Potatoes

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 4 medium red potatoes, diced (about 3 cups)
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup (10.5 oz can)
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup milk (optional, for thinner sauce)

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Cook ground beef in a skillet until browned; drain excess fat.
  • Add potatoes, soup, garlic salt, pepper, and milk (if desired); stir to combine.
  • Transfer to baking dish, top with cheese, and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  • Let rest 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a creamier texture, add more milk or cheese as desired.
