Ingredients

Dry ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt

Wet ingredients

  • 1 cup whole milk (or plant-based milk)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a muffin tin.
  • Mix dry ingredients with cheese and herbs in a large bowl.
  • Whisk wet ingredients in a separate bowl.
  • Combine wet and dry mixtures until just combined.
  • Spoon batter into muffin tin and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  • Cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use fresh herbs for the best flavor and avoid over-mixing the batter.
