Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Melt butter in a 9x13 inch dish in the oven.
Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Combine milk, bourbon, and vanilla; add to dry ingredients and stir until smooth.
Pour batter over melted butter. Sprinkle brown sugar evenly over top.
Slowly pour boiling water over the mixture. Bake for 30 minutes until bubbly and caramelized.
