Ingredients

Granny Smith Apples
(cored, peeled, diced to 1/4 inch)

Dough and Filling

prepared caramel sauce
(such as Torani caramel sauce plus more for serving)

beaten egg
(mixed with 1 tablespoon water)
Instructions
Toss apples with lemon juice. Cook apples with sugar, spice, and salt until syrupy, about 7 minutes. Cool to room temperature.
Roll out pie dough, cut lattice tops, and reroll scraps. Refrigerate if dough gets warm.
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Fill pie crusts with caramel and apple filling, seal with lattice top, and brush with egg wash.
Bake for 25-27 minutes until golden. Cool slightly on a wire rack.
Serve warm, optionally with ice cream or caramel sauce sprinkled with sea salt.
Notes
Chill the filling and dough for easier handling and better flavor.
