  • 1 cup Korean pancake mix (buchimgaru, 부침가루)
  • 3 ounces garlic chives (buchu, 부추)
  • 0.25 medium onion
  • 1 teaspoon soup soy sauce (or regular soy sauce or fish sauce)
  • 1 tablespoon gochujang (Korean chili pepper paste)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 0.5 teaspoon sugar
  • pinch black pepper

Instructions 

  • Cut garlic chives into 2-inch pieces and thinly slice the onion.
  • Mix pancake mix with cold water and soy sauce to form a thin batter.
  • Stir in garlic chives and onion into the batter.
  • Heat oil in a pan, pour batter to form pancakes, and cook until golden, flipping once.
  • Repeat until all batter is used. Serve hot with dipping sauce.

Notes

Ensure the batter is thin for crispy pancakes and cook over medium heat for best results.
