Ingredients

Rice

  • 1 cup Nasi putih

Eggs

  • 2 pieces Telur mata sapi

Beef

  • 250 grams sapi has dalam iris tipis

Aromatics and seasonings

  • 2 cloves bawang putih cincang
  • 1/2 piece bawang bombay iris
  • 1 batang daun bawang iris
  • 3 sdm kecap asin
  • 1 sdt minyak wijen
  • 1 sdm saus tiram
  • 1 sdm gula pasir (or to taste)
  • 1 sdm mirin (optional, can skip)
  • 1 sdt wijen sangrai (for topping)

Instructions 

  • Cook rice until tender and set aside.
  • Sauté garlic and onion until fragrant, then add beef and cook until browned.
  • Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, sesame oil, and mirin; simmer until flavors meld.
  • Fry eggs sunny side up.
  • Assemble rice in bowls, top with beef mixture, fried eggs, and sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped scallions.

Notes

Use thinly sliced beef for best results and adjust seasoning to taste.
