Ingredients

  • 4 medium apples, peeled, cored, and sliced into thin wedges
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • a pinch salt

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Mix apple slices, melted butter, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, and salt in a large bowl.
  • Arrange apple slices on the baking sheet in a single layer.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes until tender and caramelized.
  • Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, sprinkle with additional cinnamon before serving.
