A quick and flavorful skillet dish combining ground beef, fresh cabbage, and Asian-inspired seasonings for a satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 lb ground beef

Vegetables

  • 4 cups green cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated

Oils & Sauces

  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • ¼ cup soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • Optional sriracha for heat (optional)

Instructions 

  • Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  • Sauté onion, garlic, and ginger for 2–3 minutes until fragrant.
  • Add ground beef and cook until browned; drain excess fat if needed.
  • Stir in cabbage, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and optional sriracha; cook 5–7 minutes until cabbage is tender.
  • Season with salt and pepper; garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a splash of lime juice or sprinkle with chopped green onions before serving.
