Delight in these tender, flaky scones packed with fresh apple and warm cinnamon sugar, perfect for breakfast or a snack.
Ingredients
Dough

granulated sugar

unsalted butter (very cold)

apple (roughly chopped or grated)

heavy whipping cream (very cold)

cinnamon sugar
(or 1 1/2 tablespoons granulated sugar mixed with 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment.
Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a food processor; pulse to mix.
Add cold butter, pulse until coarse crumbs form. Stream in cream until dough clumps.
Divide dough in half, flatten, add apples, fold to encase fruit, then shape into 1.5-inch thick discs.
Cut each disc into 6 wedges, place on baking sheet, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar, and bake for 18-22 minutes.
Notes
For extra flavor, brush the tops with melted butter before sprinkling cinnamon sugar.
