A rustic and delicious apple galette with flaky pastry and warm spices, perfect for a cozy dessert.

Instructions
Pulse flour, sugar, and salt; add butter and pulse until coarse. Add water gradually until dough forms. Chill for 1 hour.
Mix brown sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Toss apple slices with lemon juice and coat with spice mixture.
Roll out dough into a 12-inch circle, place on baking sheet. Arrange apples in center, fold edges over, brush with egg, sprinkle sugar if desired.
Refrigerate 20-30 minutes, preheat oven to 400°F. Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden. Cool slightly.
Warm apricot jam, brush over galette, serve warm.
Notes
Chill the dough thoroughly for best results and use ripe apples for optimal flavor.
