Instructions
Heat milk until hot; whisk egg yolks, sugar, and cornstarch until smooth.
Temper egg mixture with hot milk, then return to saucepan and cook until thickened. Remove from heat, add butter and vanilla, then chill.
Spread chilled pastry cream into the tart shell.
Arrange fresh fruits decoratively over the cream. Brush with glaze if desired.
Chill for 30 minutes before serving.
