Quick and flavorful chicken tacos with a sweet and tangy honey lime sauce, perfect for a fast weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Chicken

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced

Sauce

  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 lime lime juice and zest
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 0.5 tsp ground cumin
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Tortillas

  • 8 small corn or flour tortillas

Toppings

  • 0.25 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 0.5 cup shredded lettuce
  • 0.25 cup diced red onion

Optional toppings

  • N/A avocado slices, sour cream, or salsa (for topping)

Instructions 

  • Whisk honey, lime juice and zest, garlic, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  • Cook sliced chicken in olive oil for 5-6 minutes until browned.
  • Add sauce to chicken, cook 2 more minutes until thickened.
  • Warm tortillas and assemble tacos with chicken, lettuce, onion, cilantro, and optional toppings.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For extra flavor, add a squeeze of lime or your favorite salsa.
