Ingredients

Oil

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Garlic

  • 6-8 cloves garlic cloves (minced)

Red Pepper Flakes

  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Shrimp

  • 1 pound shrimp (peeled and deveined)

Salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

Black Pepper

  • 8-10 cranks freshly-ground black pepper

Butter

  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter (cut into small cubes)

Lemon Juice

  • 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (from 1 large lemon)

Parsley

  • 2 tablespoons chopped flat-leaf parsley

Instructions 

  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic and red pepper flakes; cook 30-60 seconds.
  • Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper; cook 60-90 seconds until pink, then flip.
  • Add butter, lemon juice, and parsley; cook 2-3 minutes until shrimp are opaque and sauce is thickened.
  • Serve immediately with rice, pasta, or vegetables.

Notes

Use fresh garlic for the best flavor and serve with your favorite side.
